Packages start at $519

Online Driver Education is available to all California residents. Complimentary pick-up and drop-off for driver training is available to students within our service area. By registering, you acknowledge and agree to AB Teen Driving Academy's policy.

    • Online Driver Education: Learn at your own pace with engaging lessons on road rules and real-world driving. The course includes 10 chapters, each with a review test, and a final cumulative exam to assess your knowledge. Learn more.

    • Behind-the-Wheel Training: Practical, hands-on lessons with certified instructors to ensure you're ready for the road. Learn more.

    Total time: 30 hours

    There are 10 chapters total with a test at the end of each chapter to review your knowledge. The final test will be cumulative and measure your understanding of the material in the curriculum.

    2. The Human Factors Affecting the Driver

    3. Natural Forces Affecting the Automobile

    4. Signs, Signals and Highway Markings

    5. The Vehicle Systems

    6. Rules of the Road and Safe Driving Practices

    7. Sharing the Road and Accident Prevention

    8. Alcohol, Drugs and Driving

    9. Licensing, Registrations and California Vehicles Codes

    10. Acquiring a California Driver's License

    11. Final Testem description

  • You will be mailed a pink certificate of completion (DL400C).

    The certificate will be mailed out the following business day once completing the course.

    Pick up certificate at office: Students who wish to pick up their certificate in person must call our office at 714-379-6711 after completing the online driver's education course. If no pickup arrangements are made, the certificate will be mailed the next business day.

  • Make an appointment at the DMV to take your written exam. Schedule here.

  • Students have one year from the date of purchase to complete the online driver education course and their driving lessons.

    Please make sure to plan accordingly to finish within this timeframe.

    • Permit Requirements:

      • Be at least 15½ years old

      • Complete a DMV-approved driver education course

      • Pass the written knowledge test at the DMV

    • License Requirements:

      • Be at least 16 years old

      • Hold your permit for at least 6 months

      • Complete 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training with a certified instructor

      • Complete 50 hours of supervised driving, including 10 hours at night

      • Pass the DMV driving test
